WHAT ON EARTH IS MOON KARVIASTA?
The Moon Karviasta store & sewing shop was first established as a dressmaker’s shop in 2011, and the store was opened in 2013.
Moon Karviasta also cooperates with companies, associations and various artisans, who can sell their products by renting a table in the store. Moreover, Moon Karviasta supports its workshop participants in their effort to apply for work and education.
MOON KARVIASTA IS UNIQUE
Local artisans can sell their products in the store and gain more visibility for their work.
The clothing repair shop offers services to the local residents, and many bring their old clothes and other textiles to the shop for repair or alterations, which increases the lifespan of the garments. The shop also accepts, for example, recycled fabrics, which are given new life in the different products manufactured at the shop.
The Moon Karviasta sewing shop also produces decorative items, such as curtains, pillows and mattress covers, as well as customised works and subcontracted projects.
We carry many wonderful products of the local entrepreneurs and artisans (such as souvenirs, postcards, accessories, gifts and decorative items). And to top it all off, our shop offers a laid-back atmosphere and upbeat customer service.
